Let me start by saying, a pro photographer is NOT just someone who earns from photography. Professionalism is so much more. It's a constant process of learning and practicing what our business stands for. It's caring about our brand and maintaining its image. It's an experience, a journey, that all our clients take with us. For our clients, the experience starts from the time they click on our portfolio and it extends way beyond delivery.
Hire someone who cares about your pets.
While no one loves your pets as much as you do, pro pet photographers will always come in the top 5. They will care about the needs of your furry companions more than yours. On the day of the shoot, everything will most-likely be about them. If not told explicitly, they will deliver photos where the focus is on the dogs while humans will be blurry in the background. We always say that patience is the most important trick in our bag. If a cat is shy or a dog is unsure of me, we'll wait as long as it takes for them to trust us. That said, we do have other tricks that help speed up the process.

There's a huge difference between understanding what you want vs telling you. This is your session and you need to be in the driving seat. We always put your needs first. Right from the first conversation, we'll want to know what you expect from the session. We'll be taking notes while you explain. If you get stuck, we'll guide you. Even if you don't know what you want, we'll help you find it.
Hire someone who cares about your photos.
You've hired a wedding photographer for your pet photography session. They are cheap. A few days after the session your photos are ready to be downloaded from an online gallery. You're excited to get back home, download and share them on your social feed, and even print and frame them. Something urgent grabs your attention and you forget that night. A few days pass by while work has been hectic. You remember you still haven't downloaded the images. You click the link for the online gallery and there are no photos there! You call the photographer and they inform you that the gallery has been removed and pics deleted from hard drive - they don't have them anymore. They did inform you that the pics will be deleted in a few days. What has gone wrong here?
As pro pet photographer, we care about each pet portrait session. Every time we think about deleting old images, we see goofy faces of those dogs and something makes us happy instantly. We've never had a single SD card fail as we invest in good quality cards, but we're not taking chances with your precious photos. We ALWAYS have 2 copies right from the moment we press that shutter button on the camera. Once your photos are delivered, we still maintain 2 copies in separate hard drives. That's how we guarantee safekeeping your pics atleast 1 year after your session.

Starting from the first call, describing your requirements (or just asking for advice on how to structure the session), likes and dislikes, location, day and time of the shoot, wardrobe selection, meet & greet, props, ensuring the safety and comfort of your fur babies, right down to when you receive your photos. That's the kind of service we want, and that is what we offer as well. Quality will shine through in everything we do.
